Inspired Design and Impeccable Craftsmanship
Inspired by the husband's Japanese heritage, this wardrobe design draws on traditional Shoji elements and seamlessly incorporates them into the space.
Solid Maple slats were selected to reflect the home's existing slatted details, while the doors feature acrylic panels with an opaque effect, echoing the aesthetic of Shoji screens.
To address the challenge of a protruding wing wall, we extended the wardrobe and wrapped a false wall around the space, creating a seamless and cohesive appearance. Inside, the interiors are thoughtfully designed, offering everything from spacious drawers (including an impressive 1200mm-wide set with Blum hardware) to hanging space, display shelves, and additional overhead storage.
Special features include touch-sensor dimmable LED lighting for an ambient glow, and smooth sliding doors for effortless access—another nod to traditional Japanese design. The entire wardrobe is finished with a clear spray lacquer to enhance the natural beauty of the Maple.
